About Cromer Dialysis Unit
Cromer Dialysis Unit (CDU) provides haemodialysis and haemodiafiltration treatment for people living in North Norfolk. We are part of the Renal Department at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, and we work closely with the teams at the Norwich Kidney Unit and the James Paget Hospital.
Our Services
We care for 22 patients each day, offering three treatment sessions daily. The unit is open Monday to Saturday, including bank holidays. The only exceptions are Christmas Day and New Year’s Day — on those weeks, we open on the Sunday instead.
Our Team
CDU is a nurse-led unit, offering high-quality kidney care in a welcoming and supportive environment. A Renal Consultant visits every week to oversee and manage patients' medical care.
Most patients start their dialysis at Norwich. When a place becomes available at Cromer, they are then able to transfer to our unit.

Sunday: Closed
Bank Holidays: Closed on Christmas Day/New Years Day
