About Langley Ward
Langley Ward is a 26-bed inpatient unit that specialises in kidney (renal) conditions. It is located in the East Block, Level 1, at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Our team provides specialist care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
For many patients, dialysis may begin on Langley Ward before they move to the Norwich Kidney Centre (NNKC) or Cromer Dialysis Unit (CDU).
Outpatient Services
Langley Ward also offers outpatient care for:

Kidney biopsies

Central venous catheter (also known as a “neck line”) insertions

Treatment for peritonitis — inflammation of the lining of the abdomen, which can sometimes occur in people on peritoneal dialysis

Our staff can also give out-of-hours advice and support for:

Peritoneal dialysis concerns, such as cloudy fluid or problems draining in or out

Troubleshooting home haemodialysis machines
